The beautiful scenery and challenging off-road environment ferrari made Surges Bay in north-east Tasmania the perfect destination for the launch, with the area being transformed into an Amarok Town to celebrate the new vehicle release.
The Maui and Britz motorhomes were parked on 'streets' in the fabricated Amarok Town an chevrolet d were positioned around the Town's main centrepiece – an enormous canopy that housed a reception, dining and lounge area to entertain guests over the launch.
At the end of each day, nearly 200 guests comprising of media, Volkswagen Dealer Principals and Volkswagen Group Australia retired to 64 two, four and six-berth motorhomes split between the Maui and Britz brands of THL and nestled amongst the surrounding forest.
A jam-packed schedule of activities was planned for the group and the initial inclement weather didn't dampen spirits, even benefitting the 4WD terrain by making it muddier and hence more entertaining for guests witnessing the Amarok Utes effortlessly take to the tracks.
The motorhomes were sourced via the Hobart office under the management of thl's Helen McCullagh, who was exceptionally pleased with the results of the partnership with Volkswagen, in particular feedback from the launch.
"The motorhomes caused plenty of surprise amongst attendees. More than a few guests are now reconsidering holiday plans to incorporate Maui and Britz motorhom buick omeo">alfa romeo es and are devising new road trips accordingly," McCullagh said.
