Janet Howle is a 65-year-old pediatric physical therapist and Ed Howle is a 76-year-old retired UNC-Chapel Hill economics professor.  This energetic couple likes to keep active and would rather pursue this lifestyle than live a more sedate life.

Janet and Ed Howle started their trip in New York City on April buick 14th.  The couple will drive to San Francisco and then ship their Beetle across the ocean on a month long trip.  Once the car arrives oversees, it will be placed in quarantine for two days.  After this, they will travel across China, Russia, and Europe until they reach their destination of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France by the deadline of July 23rd.  Nights will be spent in hotels.  Fortunately, Ed has the ability to do car repairs as needed.

FUTURAWIND enters into Wind Turbine Technology Licensing Agreement with ADITHYAWIND PVT LTD in India

PRLog (Press Release)– May 16, 2011– FUTURAWIND INC, a Los Angeles, California based wind energy technology research and development company, has entered into an agreement to develop, license and transfer technology for a 1.5 MW wind turbine design with Adithyawind Pvt Ltd in Coimbatore, India. Under the terms of the agreement, Adithyawind has exclusive rights to manufacture, sell, install, operate and maintain the 1.5 MW wind turbine, Model F1.5 in India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. In addition to an upfront development and licensing fee, FUTURAWIND will receive royalty payments for the first several hundred units manufactured by Adithyawind. FUTURAWIND will also assist in development of a localized supply chain and dodge vertical integration for several key components.

Adithyawind plans to manufacture the wind turbine, which utilizes a direct-drive generator, in Coimbatore primarily for the market in India. The company plans to have its first prototype installed and commissioned in mid-2012, begin small scale acura serial production by the end of 2012, and be ready for full-scale production in 2013. India has over 14 GW of installed wind power capacity as of March 31, 2011 according to the Indian Wind Energy Association, making it the world's fifth largest wind power market. It is expected that India will increase its installed capacity to 24 GW by 2016, and will reach an installed capacity of more than 34 GW by the end of 2020.

FUTURAWIND is currently developing a portfolio of wind turbine designs employing direct-drive generators ranging from 100 kW to 5 MW, medium-speed gearbox-based units rated at 6 MW and 10 MW, and a 12.5 MW unit that utilizes a high-speed gearbox. PRLog (Press Release)– May 13, 2011– The environment department (DEFRA) published on Wednesday its plans to introduce mandatory carbon reporting for 30,000 companies. The Climate Change Act 2008 requires the UK government to consider introducing mandatory carbon reporting by 6 April 2012, or explain to Parliame chrysler nt why it has not.

For the coverage of mandatory reporting DEFRA's consultation proposes three options: one is to require all companies quoted on the London stock exchange to report on carbon emissions. This would catch some 1,100 companies, but not privately owned ones.

Companies with one or more half-hourly electricity meters settled on the half-hourly market, and which use more than 6,000 megawatt-hours per year would have to report their greenhouse gas emissions. The mandatory carbon reporting would require firms to report all direct carbon emissions from production sites and from bought energy. They would also have to apply official UK conversion factors for calculating carbon emissions.

San Diego Window Tinting Customers to Receive Free Mobile Services

New market study, "France Metals Report Q2 2011", has been published

PRLog (Press Release)– May 02, 2011– French steelmaking will be undermined by a decline in competitiveness as the slowing rate of consumption growth will benefit imported steel products over domestically produced steel, while margins will be put under pressure by the rising costs of raw materials.

In 2010, French crude steel output grew 20.1% y-o-y to 15.41mn tonnes as trade fuelled growth in production. BMI estimates that French finished steel consumption grew 15.2% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 14.76mn tonnes, but was still 24% down on the 2007 peak. The closure of two French mills by ArcelorMittal depressed output in H210. France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports totalled EUR9.51bn buick , an increase of 24.6% y-o-y.

France's steel exports value in 2010 was still 20.9% below 2008 levels. Despite growth in exports, the country's trade surplus in steel products narrowed as imports of basic steel and ferroalloy products grew 30.5% y-o-y to EUR8.91bn, with double-digit growth reported in all segments.

Trade figures suggest that French steelmaking is failing to co acura mpete both domestically and in eurozone markets. Production has so far failed to return to pre-recession levels, with output in 2010 still 20% down on 2007 levels and not expected to return to capacity any time soon. The impetus for metals production growth, namely the construction and automotive sectors, appeared to be stalling by Q111 as austerity measures across the eurozone kicked in. While overall domestic economic growth should remain strong in 2011, this growth is less likely to spur domestic steelmaking than it is to suck in imports of steel products. The French steel industry will undergo the same process of 'delocalisation' as other industrial sectors. Moreover, consumption levels will be subdued as France's autos production stalls due to weakness in European demand. With car production moving east, it is unlikely that French car making will return to pre-crisis levels, limiting the scope for growth in the domestic consumption of metal products used in the automotive sector.

While the French automotive industry is likely to dampen consumption of flat products, this will be counterbalanced by a surge in growth in construction, which will generate demand for long products. BMI anticipates 4.5% growth in construction in 2011, up from 0.4% in 2010. However, given the loss in competitiveness demonstrated in 2010, it is unclear how much this will benefit domestic steelmaking and BMI believes long product imports will grow faster than domestic output.

As a result of the uncertainties surrounding French steel-consuming industries and whether domestic steelmakers will benefit, BMI has reduced its forecast for crude steel output for 2011 from 16.4mn tonnes to 15.73mn tonnes (up 2.0% y-o-y) and hot-rolled output from 15.1mn tonnes to 14.76mn tonnes (up 1.9% y-o-y). By 2015, crude and hot-rolled output should reach 17.08mn tonnes and 15.97mn tonnes respectively, which is still well down on pre-recession level. Aluminium should fare better, helped in part by its use in lighter and more fuel-efficient vehicles. By 2015, aluminium production should have recovered to 2008 levels, provided there is no closure of capacity.

"The Closer's" Tony Denison Wins PRISM Award

Honoring TV's Denison addiction, the 15th Annual Prism Awards awarded "The Closer" star Tony Denison with the Best Performance in a Drama Episode on April 28 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

The 5 time SAG nominated Denison graciously accepted the award.   "I'm thrilled to receive this award, it's a huge honor. I've been nominated for awards before, but this is the first time I get to leav buick e with an award.  I didn't realize how incredibly humbled I would be," Denison said in his moving acceptance speech.

The PRISM Awards honor productions that are not only powerfully entertaining, but realistically show substance abuse and addiction, as well as mental health issues.  The ceremonies produced by the Entertainme acura nt Industries Council in collaboration with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and FX.

The a car news ward recognized Denison's performance in the powerful episode "Old Money" which featured his character, Detective Andy Flynn, in a life and death battle outside an AA meeting.

Denison strongly identifies with his character Det. Flynn who is passionate, wise-cracking and takes his job and sobriety seriously.  Notoriously open and passionate about his own struggles with addiction, Denison himself is now 18 years sober.

"My sobriety saved my life… if there are people out there who are at rock bottom and a character or TV show or film ignites some small spark in them to get help, well, that's an incredible reason to do what I do," Denison shared.

Denison originally approached the show's creator James Duff with the idea of making Detective Flynn a sober character.
